Goat Vaccination and Worming Program
KIDS: 2-4 weeks of Age

B. Vision CD & T
C. Nasalgen (optional)
6-8 Weeks of Age
A. Vision CD & T - 2cc under the skin
B. Nasalgen (optional) - 1/2cc in each nostril
10-14 Weeks of Age / Booster 4-6 weeks after initial vaccination
A. Nasalgen (optional) 1/2cc in each nostril
B. Rabies (optional) 2cc IM
Bucks / 3 months of Age
A. Tetanus Antitoxin - 2cc under the skin
B. Castration is recommended at this time, but they can be castrated earlier
DOES: Annually and 1 Month Prior to Kidding
A. Vision CD&T - 2cc under the skin
BUCKS/WETHERS: Annually
A. Vision CD&T - 2cc under the skin
B. Nasalgen
C. Rabies (optional) 2cc IM
WORMING: Begin worming at 2-3 months of age. Worming every 6 months, once in the fall and once in the spring, is sufficient in most areas. May need to increase frequency of deworming according to number of animals and amount of pasture. Commonly used products:
A. Ivermectin - drench or injectable
B. Panacur - drench
C. Valbazen - drench (not for use in pregnant does until after first trimester)
LICE: Goats frequently get lice during the damp winter months. Treat with Cylence oil at 3 week intervals. 2cc/100 lbs - apply to poll, withers, and tail head.
