Where is Cotati large Animal Hospital located?

• We are located on Hwy 116 just west of Hwy 101 in Cotati.  From Hwy 101 take the Hwy 116/Sebastapol exit. The clinic is about 0.5 miles west of the freeway on the right hand side of the road.  

*Note: The large animal clinic is located behind the small clinic.  Just follow the driveway to the barn.

What are your office hours?

• Beginning on November 1, 2009, we will be open from 8am-5pm Monday-Friday and from 9am-12pm on Saturdays.
• We are available on an emergency basis on weeknights, weekends and holidays.

What is your practice area?

• We take calls as far south as Novato, as far east as Sonoma, as far north as Windsor, and as far west as Tomales.

What species of animals do you work on?

• We provide services for multiple species, including: Horses, cattle (dairy and beef), goats, camelids (llamas, alpacas), and pigs.

• We Do Not work on any type of birds (including chickens), or exotic species.

What happens if I call with an emergency?

• When you call with an after-hours emergency an operator from our answering service will take your call.  The operator will ask for your name and phone number and brief description of your emergency and then attempt to reach the on-call veterinarian.
• If the on-call doctor is available the operator will either patch your call through directly to the doctor, or the doctor may elect to call you back.
• If the on-call veterinarian is not available (usually because of another emergency), the operator will leave a page or voicemail for the doctor.  Remember: Some emergencies may take an hour or more, so please be patient! As soon as the veterinarian becomes available he/she will call you back.  
  

Do you transport animals?

• No, we do not transport animals.  However, we do have a list of animal transport companies, and horse trailers can be rented from area equipment rental companies (i.e. Hertz).
